Often it can seem a bit too much and even a little bit dreadful... not to worry, there's an easy way to get back into working out again: walking! You can add walking into your daily activities in many ways. You might want to take your beloved dog for a 10-minute stroll around the neighborhood. Just consider, 10 minutes per day is equals walking at least 70 minutes in a week. You can multiply it by two if you take your dog for a walk two times each day. If you live close to where you work, consider walking all or some of the way. Obviously, if you live a two hour walk from your work place, it's not such a great idea to walk there each day (but feel free to try if you think you can do it!). It's not unreasonable to walk for half an hour to get to your workplace and it will give you 60 minutes of exercise each day walking back and forth. If you commute to work, just walk to the next bus stop so that you do a bit more walking every day. Its not hard to add in walking.

Walking is excellent for your body and general health. You can anticipate to better your heart health and also shed off some pounds since walking is a type of aerobic activity. Unlike running, which can be stressful to your joints, you can walk at a pace that is comfortable for you. My brother is very thin (but he consumes a lot of junk food) and I ask him how he manages to do it. He tells he doesn't know but reminded me that he walks a lot daily. After he mentioned that, it made sense. The ease of walking makes it unimaginable to come up with reasons for not doing it.

Follow a regular walking routine, combine it with proper diet, and you should see weight loss without any huge effort. Because walking is not a vigorous exercise, it's easier to remain motivated and stick to your exercise routine. As you walk more often and notice changes, you'll want to do more or hike up the intensity level of your walks. If you feel like you could do more, do it. Walk faster than you normally do and perhaps jog for a few steps along the way if you feel like it. The next thing to do is to progress to even more arduous exercises.

There's no reason that you shouldn't walk a little bit every day. Even if you have a full schedule, you can take out 10 minutes to walk around the area, or if you are a gym member, nip in and do half an hour on the treadmill at a slow pace to start off with.
