Soup Diet Suggestions: Motivation For Eating Disorders

By Ethel Douglas

"You look thin!" These thoughts definitely seem like music to the ears whenever we hear people give us flattery like that. Let's face it, would it really seem as encouraging as that if anyone had mentioned instead, "Hey! You gained weight!" See what I mean? But, while being slim has its earmarks of allowing you to squeeze into your favorite dresses, it also has its issue with you being incorrectly placed as malnourished. At the same time, the idea of perfection is frequently misunderstood, especially by the younger generation, and that's why more and more teenagers lately suffer from eating disorders. Here is a peek at a couple of them:

Anorexia - Self- image is everything. Come to think about it, eating disorders have A lot to do with the way a person sees himself. Anorexia happens each time a person feels the lowest about himself, his absence of confidence and desire for loveliness and excellence causes him to think that being slimmer is the only way to be beautiful and taken by society. Therefore he's then misled to consider starving himself to become " a lot more like everybody else".

Bulimia - This is actually the 2nd stage that's undergone when Anorexia gets out of hand. They go on binge eating episodes and ultimately take sudden actions such as pressuring themselves to throw up or candidly taking laxatives to flush out the things they binged on. Come to think about it, Bulimia is an eating disorder that's the response to a mental problem- probably it had been an event that happened in their life that was so disturbing for them to forget, or if it's their garbled impression of perfection. In either case, Bulimia is one thing that must not be accepted and should be prevented as far as possible.

Without doubt, these disorders are harmful to all people. Having said that, I need to emphasize that it's far more perilous for the younger generation because they have weaker systems compared to those of the more aged. In these cases, it is best to persuade a person with this condition in using healthier alternatives. Should they seriously choose to take in as few as possible, you may encourage them to take on weight loss plans- a really good example is the Cabbage Soup Diet .

Taking up the soup diet not only suggests that you are feeding on much less but it also signifies you're also freeing yourself of the toxins and bacteria from your entire body with the help of its high fiber content. Just make sure though that this is only done for 7 days because body still wants its dosage of calories to stay healthy and balanced but in shape. So next time you have a relative or friend encountering eating disorders, entice them to check out healthier selections much like the cabbage soup recipe. You never know, perhaps this may gradually have them seeing themselves in a better light and gain more self-confidence.
